Rita Nettelstad (b. 1986) educated at Valand Academy in Gothenburg and at Konstfack in Stockholm. At present studying a master in History of Ideas at the program Critical Studies at Gothenburg University. Her work is mainly conceptual and involves moving images, drawing, text, performance and sculpture. Material and subjects are often interwoven in the form of installation. Since 2011 she has worked with the theme: centre and periphery, in relation to the body and disability. 2014 she did the video: To see the unseen in dialogue with Bo Eckebrink, who is without sight. The video is sprung out of pictures that Eckebrink has taken with a disposable camera and that Nettelstad is translating into words. The conversation wanders in the landscape of perception, struggle and existence.
