Lea Martini & Anne-Mareike Hess

With the block DANCING PLAGUE, the german choreographer Lea Martini and the luxembourgish choreographer Anne-Mareike Hess invites to a reflection on the infectious potential of movement and possibilities of surrender, starting from the phenomena of the dancing plague in Europe’s Middle Age.

The block concists of a residency for Lea Martini & Anne-Mareike Hess working on the theme DANCING PLAGUE and will include an artist presentation, performances, a workshop for ten selected dancers, a lecture and film-evening hosted by Roberto N. Peyre and a concert with Tian Rotteveel followed by a dance-night open for everyone to join.

DANCING PLAGUE happens at Skogen between the 4th and 18th of January 2014 and will then continue at Weld, Stockholm.
